This is amazing. What if ... ?
And yes his eyes may not be blue.
This is a wonderful concept using today's travel restrictions. Imagine turning anyone away who could be an asset to our country let alone Jesus.
You win is well deserved. Excellent writing.

Thank you very much for the high accolades and stars. Yes, imagine what may be turned away bbecause prehudice against a religion or racial difference blinds and turns into such fear and hatred. Thanks again.

Interesting piece, Congratulations on the win...The God I serve has never been seen, so whether he had blue eyes, brown eyes, isn't of importance to me...the same applies to His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, after He rose from the tomb..l do appreciate the way you described the man, for me he appeared a man without knowledge, and one that saw Christ only through his eyes..
I know from the forum your thoughts on the subject of religion, and so I do understand the true meaning of your piece.
Personally I see Christ only through His teaching...
Thanks for sharing this with us, and again Congratulations on the win...
Regards,
Victoria

Many zealots have a skewed idea of what Christ's message means. There is a myth still alive that all babies are born with blue eyes in the likeness of Jesus. My point was not ti mess with religion, but to point out that prejudice might blind people, turn down Christ himself.
I know you believe you know how I feel about religion, but I';m not sure you do. I don't believe religion and politics nix. Those with radical ideas about the Bible always find a verse to make their point, but veer off the subject entirely.. What they are really saying is that I'm right because am right and you're wrong.
I am very much a Christian and fully respect all faiths, but I choose not to discuss my beliefs-especially in political matters..
Thanks for reading and the review.

I do agree with you so much, that's why I often ask those so interested in discussing religion to go to the proper site...for me Religion and Politics just don't match...

It's sad if Jesus is on the watch list. It seems a lot of people have forgotten what He taught about how to live. I like the veiled mention of President Trump and your feeling about his election.
Congrats on the win.

There are people who believe Trump was hand picked by God/ I don't agree. Thanks for reading.

Why am I not surprised this amazing story won (although I'm willing to bet you are surprised to 'see' me - lol - it's been a while).
But I couldn't resist, not with that title, and I HAVE read some of your work, though not reviewed. I have zip to offer a writer of your calibre, my friend.
Congratulations. I LOVED it.

I haven't posted very much in the last year--or longer. I have developed macular degeration and it's very difficult for me to read. Poetic justice--huh?
Thanks for the celestial bouquet. Yes, winning is always sweet, especially when there's a cash prize involved. LOL/ Thanks so much, ingrid

You're very welcome. Sorry to hear about the trouble with your eyes!

A deserving winner, this short story makes a big statement. It seems to me that the best test of the "Christian-ness" of a policy (especially one that is espoused by ones who would call themselves Christians) is to put it side by side with the source of Christian values and see how it holds up - you do that wonderfully here. I can't help but think that the Sara Sanders and Steve Bannons of the world wouldn't recognize Jesus if He washed their feet.
Congrats on your win!

Right on. Mark. I participate in the political forum here, and the zealots drive me crazy with their hypocrisy--just me,, I guess. The most vocal debaters believes Trump is God's choice for America. What a base the POTUS gas!
Thanks for your review and sharing. Especially thanks for the celestial bouquet.

Well, when the title caught my attention, I couldn't pass it up. This is a really clever piece you've penned here. Love the irony, and especially the screamer about Trump. A most deserved winner of the contest, I'm only sorry that even though it's only Tuesday, I haven't got a six left. It certainly deserves it. Well done :)

Craig, you are one of the people who understands my feelings about religion and hypocrisy. There was a myth still believed by many people that ALL children are born in the image of Jesus with blue blue and then their eyes change colour. With all the bigotry today it seems ridiculous that people pray to Christ and ban all people who likely looked like hi,
Thanks for the review and 'phantom' six--LOL

Hello Spiritual Echo,
This is a fascinating subject. It would be wonderful to hear that Jesus was wandering around among us. I'd love to see that in person. I love that you have him on the restricted list, and that he said he wS invited by prayer. This whole story gives me goose bumps :) Well done in winning first place.

Miss Jot. thanks for the accolades and the lovely celestial bouquet. It was meant to be thought provoking, perhaps reminding folks that Christ was born and preached in the Middle East.

Thanks, I won. Yes, the blue eyes went along with the myth that all babies are born with blue eyes because they were the color of Jesus's own.
