A very interesting machine, I'll have to do some research, see if there are still any around.
I don't know if it truly contributed to 'Alice's Adventure in Wonderland', but it has my deepest gratitude, just on the off-chance :)
Another lovely poem, very well written, and deeply enjoyable.
Great job, and take care :)

Thanks for the very kind assessment. If you google it, you will see the actual "machine" looks like something pretty much anyone could make in a few minutes with a bit of left-over cardboard. I think perhaps the code he created to use with it is the more clever bit. Cheers, Craig

Hi, Craig;
Great use of your new word and a very informative story about Lewis Carroll. Can you imagine the stories that danced in his head? It has been said he used chemical enhancement, but I think he just had a VERY vivid muse,

Inside his head would certainly be an amazing place to be, I think. Thanks for the kind comments, Patty - much appreciated. Craig

A very well-written informative piece and explanation of a nyctograph. I wish I can get one somewhere, it will help a lot to remember the flash ideas at night and sometimes at times I am not able to write it all down.

It's basically just a rectangle of cardboard with a bunch of square holes in it - I think the "cleverness" is more in the "square" code he invented to go with it. If you google the term nyctography, you'll see pictures. It looks like you could probably make it yourself in a few minutes! Cheers, Craig

Hello Craig.
Nyctography! OMG now that is a word! Loved the story of the invention and the rhyming scheme is sophisticated and edgy. Nicely done mate. xoxo Kiwi

Thanks very much, Kiwi. I like the word too - it's one of those where you can just about guess from the sound of it - unlike some of the others in the book. Much appreciated - Craig

Really enjoyed this poem. It read very smoothly as I was reading it out loud. Had a nice flow to it. Good job and thanks for sharing this with us. Poor Alice..haha
