Didn't Jimmie Dickens sing that song in 1942? looks fantastic, i been following the new version lyrics as I push play. This is one of my favorite classics back in the 40's. I had this same song in my novel, "Its My Secret To Keep." Picture and blue words look azure, nice presentation. Its a happy go--lucky song that I really like. Wow! you make get the prize. BOO

Genius idea for a contest. Had a great time looking for a cool song to use. Yep, a real OLDIE but goodie. I remember that novel. Still more to come wasn't there. Thanks for the great review and stars. I'll cross my fingers. Some great entries.

This is very romantic and caught my eye. I love the last stanza, You are my moonlight. The long lasting moments of loving and sharing. Thank you.

This is a clever re-write of an old favorite, in which you maintain the same structure in terms of rhyme and rhythm, but imbue the words with the tenderness of true love. I like it!

This is a great re-writing of the song lyrics for "You are My Sunshine" which is a song my children loved me to sing to them when they were little.
You've done a very good job with this.
Best wishes in the contest.

It's not easy re writing lyrics to songs, you start to understand the tresses, weak and strong, this is quite good in all, but you chose a well know song, some are great, some have to bend them a little, I have actually written lyrics to others music, a long time ago now, then I wrote my own, for years, one has to be pretty even with the pulses the syllable counts are sometimes even but not necessarily, S1 L4, needs work, the rest seem OK, well done, blessings Roy

Interesting re-write of the Classic song "You Are My Sunshine" by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell. Uses terms such as "you make me tremble in every way" to better illustrate the affect the other person has on you. Should be a good contest entry.
