This meets the contest requirements beautifully. The syllable count is spot on and the imagery conveyed is lovely. I wish you all the best in the judging and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Wonderful entry in this 5-7-5 contest...concise and accurate...says it all. Amazing to me how they just KNOW, but, like you said...God's perfect system!

All creation is fascinating to me, but geese just have a special place in my heart. Thank you as always for your kind remarks.

I think it would be nice to catch a flight and head further south for the winter but unfortunately I'm not a goose and so I'll stay here and try to keep things going..
Well done with your 5-7-5 Buck

This 5-7-5 haiku looks perfect to me:
Across the night sky
geese in formation fly south
God's perfect system
Best wishes in the contest, Carolyn.

Yes, they are a beautiful sight. Amazing as to how they know which way to go, and where to end up. Very nice 5/7/5. I wish you good luck with it, Carolyn. Hugs. Miss Sally

Hi there John,
No unfortunately this is not one of my photos but I wish it were. I love geese. So glad you thought it was nicely done.
Have a great week-end my friend.

Hi Carolyn,
This is a great poem about the geese. I saw a lot of them the other day by the hospital where they hang out because there's a small pool of water. Today snow is coming down steadily. Old Winter always has to push autumn away early.

Hi there Kat,
We have had no snow yet but we know it is on its way, sooner or later. Some geese do stay here for the winter also, but many fly over going farther south. So happy you liked this one.
Love, Carolyn

stunning presentation of your poem, which is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable count
concrete imagery that makes for a scene that is both easy and inviting to visualize
and such a thoughtful reflection in your in final line
