Thank you. Your response to the "s" is funny. I appreciate it.

Hi,
Good presentation. But, even in a picture, a snake is a snake is a snake is a snake!
We had one in our house recently. Eeeeekkkks! It was a baby, but like I said -- a snake and so on.
The best of luck in the contest.
Cheers & Blessings

Thank you. The picture is the only one that I could find that was not too scary. I do not like snakes either. They can stay far, far away from me out in the open range.

I believe you met all the requirements for this contest. Snakes may have a chance at winning but dogs, cats and babies are hard to beat. Great job with your entry, Buck

Thank you so much. You are right about the trifecta of topics. Thanks for your time.

Excellent use of alliteration in your description of the snake and his avoidance of the students.
The snake also lends itself very well to superb use of assonance.
Warmly,
Juliette

Thank you for your review and comments. I appreciate both.

This was good. I think using the one letter is less intimidating than I had first thought once reading many of the works here. Some people are so brilliant. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much. I had a 5-7-5 poem that I used as the start of this one. I just wrote that poem and started adding words (or lines) that made sense and helped make a story. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate everything you said.

Needless to say, great alliteration. I don't quite get the second stanza unless you mean the students were sidestepping the seven deadly sins until the following Sunday for a cooler temptation- sometimes. Which relieve the heat with a ssssss.

Thank you for your review. The second verse is just about 7 students watching the snake--no religious connotations intended. After watching the snake in the hot sun, the students just want a cool refreshment--the snowcone. Thanks for your time. I am glad you enjoyed it

Some snakes can and will sneak up on ya, that's for sure. Sometimes they are even disguised as friends and people we know. Adam and Eve found out the hard way how deceptive serpents can be.
Well done, Poet "X', and good luck to you in the contest. :)
