Poems are best when they are inspired by something around you, and what's better than the curious world of a child. This story of the caterpillar is charming and the child's voice gives the narrative a sense of awe and wonder. Excellent poetic values in this poem make it a delight to read. Good luck in the contest!

A sweet and gentle romp about a child's curiosity and imagination. The rhyming was easy and free, creating a simplistic vision - just right for this piece.

This was lovely, Poet 'X', and so well rhymed, with perfect meter and flow. There are some excellent examples of near rhymes that truly worked well here, up/stop, touch/watch...
A beautifully presented, pleasing poem about the innocence of youth, and how the very young view the world and everything in it with such awe and reverence.
Good luck to you in the contest.

Excellent observation and description of the caterpillar from the view of a child, and wonderful metaphor for life. As the caterpillar changes into a butterfly, each child will change and it will take patience and time for the dramatic transformation to be realized.
Excellent cadence in your eight beats per line and good rhyming couplets.
What a lovely thoughtful piece to brighten the day. Thank you for sharing.

Hall Mark worthy in my opinion. Nothing is more precious than a child. Especially when exploring nature. Well done poet. My blessings and beast wishes in the contest.

good luck in the contest
your chosen words with vivid images allow the reader to see and feel the conversation between the little girl and the caterpillar
how she was told it would soon become a beautiful butterfly
and wondering about her life and what she will be
flows well easy read

The wonderful essence of a child is so harmless and innocent.
Little minds love to explore and ask questions that keeps them in tune with this ever changing world.

What a sweet tribute to the inquisitiveness of children. Well written with perfect rhyming that makes it flow smoothly start to finish. I love the question at the end. Best of luck in the contest!
