I love the artwork that you choose to go with your poem
it truly touched my heart. Each line I read is so true about the currents of life how it flows just like a river,
Than you for sharing.

You are very welcome misscookie, I am glad the poem touched you. That river scene is about 10 miles from our home. :-)Carolyn

A lovely spiritual poem that captures the rough journey we are on. Great use of metaphor.

Rough, rapid falls ahead of you

River rushes, twist and turn
Turbulence swells and troubles churn

This definitely makes the end look good!

This is an interesting poem from the author in this post. Rivers are very special places indeed. They have sparked the imaginations of people since the beginning of time.

For the rivers bank on either side
of sparkling waters deep and wide
Portray a life-scene at it's best
Oh faithful one, you've earned your rest

An extremely wonderful picture and write girl. Beautiful quatrais play a part in your telling of this.

Hi Carolyn,

A very nicely written poem, with great imagery. Love the title! Love the metaphor ... rushing waters of life. We never know what's around the next bend, do we?! :)

Fave line ... "Shore up resolve and strength anew
Rough, rapid falls ahead of you".

Hugs,
Connie

"For the rivers bank on either side of sparkling waters deep and wide Portray a life-scene at it's best Oh faithful one, you've earned your rest" - This last verse is simply stunning in the depth of faith and love it conveys to the reader. This is a beautifully written piece that flows wonderfully, like the river, and elevates the reader to new heights. Thank you so much for sharing this with me.
