Honestly I don't know what to say about this one. That's why I gave it a 5 star rating cause I'm left dumbfounded
good job at that.

The only person who has the right to decide about death is God. After working as a nurse for so many years, I have been in my share of code blues, too many to count. Sometimes those elective surgeries, should have never been done. Unfortunately, there are many more problems in healthcare and it's not looking good for the elderly. Hospitals used to care about medicine, now they are a business and care about the bottom line. Time to get off the soap box. lol

Time will come when people are allowed to die and not kept alive for whatever reason. I vote it's for profit not humanitarian reasons.

Very disturbing voice. Sounds like a demon or death itself. A premonition of things to come perhaps.

Perfect rhyme and even tempo.

This is more of a commentary rather than poetry. A very important subject indeed. A warning about what our medical
health care will be like under Obamacare. A shocking revelation.

Thank you for the explanation in your notes, without which, I would've never been able to get a fraction of the meaning out of your poem. It's such a thought-provoking subject & one that you've managed to convey with mainly a sense of "feeling" rather than "thinking" in your graphically image-filled piece. As always, great work!

Hi Dean,
a brilliant presentation allowed me to dwell into the horror of what your words contained. Comatosed souls waiting to be judged on merit... But who has the fortitude to call the hard call? You,... me? I hope not.
Wow, my friend what a smack in the face with a wet fish! I'm just going to ostrich this one and not try to think about it until necessity brings cause to do so... But wow, I'm still going back to re-read, now that's gotta be a good sign, doesn't it?
Kindest thoughts,
James

Oh, you paint such a wick picture...I love it...always brilliant and beyond creative with what you hack up for us readers to dwell upon.

powerful and gripping poem. So much here has a two-edged meaning. I like how you take depravity and help define it and use it as a vehicle, not dragging the reader along but giving him glimpse of himself on the other side of the wall where the blood runs.

A dark thought provoking offering for sure friend, the writing has been on the wall for a very long time. Money and those with it seem to get preference these days though, if you don't have it flick a coin, heads you have a chance, tails goodbye :) Well presented as always Dean and a great poem!
