What a simple wish, and what a wonderful way to live you life, that this is how you would like to be remembered. So different from my ambition. I would like everyone who knew me and loved me to have a party to celebrate my life. I would like a fance coffin, lots of flowers, and something funny on my tombstone.
Great poem, flows freely. Warmest regards, Marijke

Excellent writing here on this poem. He says to say here sleeps a fellow who was always on the Square. Good poem.
And the picture fits.

I really like this poem, deepwater. It has lovely flow and I think an original epitaph 'Here sleeps now a fellow who was always on the square.' Can't ask for more than that. Lovely presentation with the masonic symbol and font. Also like your use of rhyme. Well done. Joyce

Good beginning and good end this poem has. The diction is simple but not trivial, a thing that some cannot do without falling into a lot of cliches.
I like the casual approach of this piece, but underneath lies some poetic language.

Desiring that one epitaph is quite compelling and
yet, describing your life, simply candid and irrefuteable.
Great presentation here. Very intriguing.

An inspiring poem written in free
style, yet glides down the screen
in measured tones of the true worth
of a man, when the bell tolls for
him, and what footsteps he has left
behind.
well done

I like your death wish , my friend. The way you presented it-the poetic format is also very beautiful. I think it is really cool to tell death you are ready . kudos

deepwater,
From the tone of your writings, I am not at all surprised to see one headed with the square and compass. As a fellow Mason, I greet you brother.

Excellent, when all is said and done and our time has come to an end. There should only be one thing we should be remembered for. Throughout our lives we were always on the up and up. It also lends to a well balanced life.
