This is another interesting chapter, Gayle. Nathan seems to have responded well to his first hypnosis session. I'm amazed that they were able to get the gatekeeper to emerge so fast. I wonder how many others there are. Very well done.

Hey Frank,
The gatekeeper is the key. He exists to keep Nathan out of trouble and when the thought of prison came up, he had to step in. Sometimes the gatekeeper won't come out and that makes for a bad prognosis for the patient. I'm doing a ton of research on DID and am doing my best to follow what the doctors say. I know some of it is unbelievable. DID is not readily accepted by all.
Thanks for the great R&R. I sure appreciate your input!
Hugs,
Gayle

Well done! I like the delving into the personalities. Your scenario sounded real.
The conflict between the police and the doctors too. You've taken a rather controversial defense, but you've set it up well for the reader to understand more behind the scenes.
Thanks!

Hi Zig,
Well, Donnie and Dr. Pritchard are kinda caught. They don't want to give up on Nathan altogether, but unlike most people who suffer from DID, not only is he gainfully employed doing something he loves, he's been able to stay out of trouble for a long time, so he kinda thinks he can take care of himself. but he's going to be cool in the end, if I pull it off. I think I can! Let us pray!
Hugs and thanks,
Gayle

Great chapter. I enjoy your strong detail regarding DID. This is the type of technical stuff I really like. I too feel compassion for Nathan but my gut tells me his problem isn't going away anytime soon. Great writing, full of great information and lots of tension.

Oh Sasha,
I hope you can stay to the end. Nathan will become our hereo here...well, not here exactly, we have bunches of chapters to go, but this ending, if I can pull it off, will be well worth the read!
Bad, bad Gayle. Hush!
