This poem, Country Music and Cryin', presented with four sestets, renders the readers a satirical take on a country song to help promote the genre in a fresh new way. Yee Hah!

Hi Harry!
This one made me smile, even though I would probably prefer Country to Indie. Gimme some of that old time rock n roll!!
Keep posting the fun stuff.

Haha, an avid country music fan here. I respectfully disagree with your music assessment, however, I think we can agree the poem is good and so funny! Thanks for a good laugh.

I actually love country music, although I'm not brought up with it. Your poem was well written, Harry. I don't think anyone will be offended. These days we're all growing a hard shell. Ulla:)))

I figured this was all in fun. I love them both and enjoy classical music, jazz, contemporary Christian, gospel and rock 'n' roll. I must admit, country has a lot of sad songs...
Fantastic as always, Harry!
Sending along my musical best.
Sal :))

Cute poem. To each his or her own. I like most music. Not Metal though, it is too loud, hurts my head, and you can't sing along. Favorite classical: Vivaldi-"Seasons", The "Planets" suite by Gustav Holst, and , of course , "Ode to Joy" Best rock: "Don't fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, "Year of the Cat" by Al Stewart, and "Maxwell Silver Hammer' by Paul McCartney. Well, most of the Beatles songs really. tell me some of your favorites. Karen

Hi I am just wondering why you do not like country music.sorry to say that I like it. I was once in Alaska and they had a show .Johny Cash was there. It was so beautiful. Still I have to say that I know little of country music that come after Johny Cash.
Take care.

Harry,
I for one never got into country music. Every so often my wife or I will settle narration in the car on the Sirius radio. But only gif a short bit.

So no offense taken here, but it's good you put that disclaimer in.

What's an "indie"?
John

Lol! Yes, I did not want to offend anyone. Indie music is modern alternative, bands like, New Order, The Cure, R.E.M., Etc. Thanks for the great review too!

well that's good, (that you don't want to offend,) because although I love classical music, I also enjoy some country now and then, ole Toby Keith (no longer with us, sadly), Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Billy Currington - you don't like these guys??? You're missin' some good stuff:)
