I also loved watching The Immortal on television in the 70s. The series only ran less than one year before it was canceled and became a Sci-fi hit in syndication. The acting was superb, and the writing was excellent. You did an excellent job of sharing your love for this series that should've lasted much longer and didn't for reasons unknown. Thanks for writing this tribute to one of the best of the 70s television shows to hit the world.

I recall Christopher George and the title of the show, but never watched an episode. I also remember te list of characters. I think Peter Gunn was a better show, especially the score by Henry Mancini

It sounds like a cross between "The Fugitive" and "The Bionic Man", both pretty good programs.

Wow. That's a trip down television memory lane. Funny, that particular show didn't jump out at me as memorable. I do like how you listed lifespans at the end. It kind of puts things in perspective. Afterall Television became the vehicle to escape reality. The plot you described on the show was intriguing, I can see how one could get hooked on it, because it was such a novel clever idea to run with. Thanks for teaching and entertaining!

I have a clearer recollection of the show Rat Patrol, but I remember The Immortal starring Christopher George. In it, a man does a good deed, and his life gets thrown into chaos because of it. It was a good show, I love the concept. I hate that The Immortal did not get a proper finale.
