Your poem has such a warm feeling to it! I really love how you embrace life as it is. Appreciating every moment without needing more. The line "I Just Want To Leave Things Be" works so well. For me your words share a picture of a life well lived that you wouldn't trade for anything. This was a joy to read!

Oh yes, there are things I've done and thought I'm not terribly proud of, but it all contrived to lead me where I am today, and it's what I've always searched for, so there are no regrets really, it was a path I needed to walk, an excellent poem Bob, blessings Roy
Typo : I('m) almost stealing....

Regrets, often suggest a hard marker. Give yourself a break, Roy. You really are a good man.

I can but try Bob, thank you

I enjoyed the contentment I felt reading your poem Bob. The satisfaction of living life the way you want and the peace you feel within. If we can achieve this in life, then we have found happiness. I enjoyed your well worded and uplifting poem, love Dolly x x x

I agree with your every word. Simplicity and contentment so often travel as companions.

Beautiful! I loved this poem! I can relate to the contentment that was finally achieved after fighting through life's struggles. The fact that most people always want more and more, and in this rare situation a request to "Just Let It Be" is so refreshing. Thank you. Very nice

Life struggles are important, they show us who we are and what we really need.
-
Yes. That is so true. I think that struggles build character, and at times creativity to get through the obstacles life puts in front of us. Struggles teach perserverance, which I fear most of our young people lack because everything has been given to them and their ideas of a struggle is squeezing into their skinny jeans. Regardless, I still like your poem!

I think you left out four words immediately after 'squeezing.' And those words are; 'their fat little butts.'
