Hank meets Molly at a happy hour mixer for the residents of his community condo. She is an interesting woman who describes herself as a 'personal assistant.' She is also picky about 'potential clients.' Molly is about achieving happiness for herself, while Hank is more interested in the ongoing charge for her services and the availability of 'scholarships.'
I like your story. The dialogue flowed and didn't seem forced.

Oh please send Molly or one of her ilk my way a.s.a.p. I have only been a widower for a few months, but I have been inactive in certain areas for about three years or possibly even more. I am not that active so it has been a struggle. Molly sounds like someone who would be very welcome in my life right now.

Nomi, I'm blushing! Thank you for the six stars! I'll check on Molly's availability. Terry.

Haha. It sounds like you might have met a future girlfriend. She sounded lovely but I'm not sure about her job. She might be joking. I really want to hear about it more. I hope you will get a date. You don't need a scholarship.
Keep us posted.
Excellent.

Well, I guess that's quite an introduction. But why doesn't the narrator call himself "Terry". I don't know if the assessment test can be passed without the real name. Or maybe this is "fiction" as you shared what Lee's definition of fiction was.
Anyway, glad you are socializing!
Good quip about the migrant workers - I've been saying that a lot about people wanting undocumented workers out of our country. They will see your grocery bills rise sky high.!

Helen, thanks for reading this fiction or as Humpwhistle might say, "The Big Lie." Terry.

Hi! Terry...I see you were checking out the "working girl" and that one is going to give most of the male residence a run for their money. though she did say, there's a possible scholarship if she likes you. Your humor is excellent as ever.
Smiles, Carol

Oh, my goodness, what is she assessing? What needs? This is a retirement village, so what is she up to? I think a lot of this just went over my 75-year-old head. Evi

Good to see you back with a post. I can't make up my mind if you are writing about an actual conversation or have a very interesting bit of fiction to offer us. My great aunt might have had that conversation with you, but she'd be pushing 150 years old if she was still with us. If it is fiction, it is very amusing work with words. Please tell me which it is.

Hi Carol, thanks for reading. I classified this as fiction humor. Fiction it is but humor will be up to the reader. Terry.

I have no idea how to begin my review.
Was this conversation lewd and lascivious, not that I would know what the latter is being an innocent man of seventy seven, but if you are of the same mind were on safe ground, right?

Comment from Debbie D'Arcy
Dear Terry, I'm a little confused by the ending here. I was motoring along under the belief that her assistance was connected with an age-old profession to keep her men satisfied. But the scholarship...? I'm barking up the wrong tree, aren't I? You're too clever for me:) Take care Debbie

Debbie, thanks for reading. I'm reluctant to interpret the story as part of the fun is see how the readers react. But I will say the lady in question was motivated by what pleased her, and the "Scholarship" she might offer would her way of not letting money stand in the way or her having a good time—a most liberated woman. Terry.

Haha! Excellent, Terry! I like it:)

This was a nice story. The characters came alive. I really enjoyed the dialogue between them. It's interesting that a personal assistant interviews the client rather than them interviewing her. I liked that.
