Wonderful poem Roy. So, it is the pen that becomes the sword and slices through the darkest of evil. A powerful message and one that is needed for these days we live at the moment. Thanks for sharing Roy. Take care and have a most wonderful day.
Cheers

Yes, my friend, you do have a gift, your pen and your mind combine so very well together, to tell of truth and leave messages about how mighty the pen and word really are, so very well written****kahpot

Comment from Gloria ....
A wonderfully rhymed and metred poem extolling the strength of truth and information passed along through pen.
If the writer is of sound soul and spirit all is good.
Very well done, Roy. :)

Hi Roy
I want to let you know that I am taking another hiatus from fan story.
As usual a fine effort indeed
Rhymes are impeccable. I really like it. And thanks for your explanation and the quoted scripture.
Here I think the word have is superfluous and it throws the meter off and makes the line 9 syllables. I think you could just remove the word have and maybe make turned into turn
" until the towers have turned to silt,"

I think I have explained before dear Pam, that towers, flowers, hours, are considered only one syllable, particularly in music, thanks for the great review, blessings Roy

This is a beautiful and inspirational poem that speaks about the power of words. We need only to look at the words of Divine Creator to understand this. He also in his wisdom has given some people the gift of words. This is a well written and presented poem. Thank you so much for sharing.

The pen is definitely mightier than the sword but God's word is like the two edged sword cutting both ways through our thoughts, words and deed.
Thank you for sharing another thought provoking poem.

This pondering of sword, pen, and Word was profound food for thought. I think you Bible verse you chose really informed the poem and made the reader think. I think the poem makes a lot of good points about violence throughout history, and it contrasts well with Christ's sacrifice that leads to life.

I loved the rhyming in this poem. I really enjoyed the ending with the pen becoming the sword. The pen is mightier than the sword is very true. I actually have that tattooed on my arm. Yes a lot can be created through writing. Joy, malice and fear just to name a few. Nicely done.

This is an excellent amd meaningful poem. A sword does depict strength. There is a saying live by the sword, die by the sword.i take that to mean be willing to due foe what you believe so make sure it is true and worthy first. Jesus died asking forgiveness but He never changed His Message to avoid that fate.
Best wishes & blessings,
Alex
