I want to let you know that I am taking another hiatus from fan story.
As usual a fine effort indeed
Rhymes are impeccable. I really like it. And thanks for your explanation and the quoted scripture.
Here I think the word have is superfluous and it throws the meter off and makes the line 9 syllables. I think you could just remove the word have and maybe make turned into turn
" until the towers have turned to silt,"

This pondering of sword, pen, and Word was profound food for thought. I think you Bible verse you chose really informed the poem and made the reader think. I think the poem makes a lot of good points about violence throughout history, and it contrasts well with Christ's sacrifice that leads to life.

I loved the rhyming in this poem. I really enjoyed the ending with the pen becoming the sword. The pen is mightier than the sword is very true. I actually have that tattooed on my arm. Yes a lot can be created through writing. Joy, malice and fear just to name a few. Nicely done.

This is an excellent amd meaningful poem. A sword does depict strength. There is a saying live by the sword, die by the sword.i take that to mean be willing to due foe what you believe so make sure it is true and worthy first. Jesus died asking forgiveness but He never changed His Message to avoid that fate.
