I am pleased to hear your faith is a comfort to you Debi, especially in times of troubles when we are suffering ill health or grief and loss. We rely on our beliefs and appreciate the support of family and friends. My faithful upbringing was not this strict and I gained a lot of wisdom in Sunday school with those interesting bible stories. I enjoyed your open hearted post Debi, love Dolly x x x

Thank you, Dolly, for the thoughtful comments about my faith post.
It was by God that led me to FS in the first place, so I have tried to follow His lead in most of what I write.

Of course your pastor is right. Faith is like carrying a thousand life preservers in waters that are sometimes treacherous. Yes, during calm times you may not be able to share many, but... And whenever you run low, you know exactly where and how to refill.

I believe faith is something that helps you to enjoy the good times and to navigate the tough ones. I don't know how people make it through life not believing there is a guiding force beside them. Without God, I never would have made it through some things. Beautifully written. Gretchen

It is better when it is shared .WE in India believe in SATSANG the word translates as 'together with good people ' In group we sing hymns and songs ,chants His names... etc etciT gives a great feel .Your pastor was right ,I feel.

Hi dear Santha, I am going to look up SATSANG and learn a little more about it. I have to learn something new everyday or I won't go to bed. So if I haven't by bedtime,I will just look at google and find something new. LOL.
