Good infrormation. I would have went with a title because you are stating that multiple places that are hidden gems, but the title only suggest one. I personally wouldnt have used the sentence hidden gem in the article itself because it takes away from the title; which in my opinion just makes it feel a little wordy. It was interesting to read about spencer county, Indiana. I had no idea it existed. Good work, keep it up.

Good infrormation. I would have went with a title because you are stating that multiple places that are hidden gems, but the title only suggest one. I've never been much of anywhere. I was born and raised in NYC and basically, when we moved to Pittsburgh 7 years ago, that was a big deal. So, I truly enjoyed your story ant Sant Claus Theme park. Your full and vivid descriptions surely make it sound amazing. My goal in life is to finally travel. I want to visit al the ball parks in the US and really travel to see every state. I will get to this park someday.

I've never been much of anywhere. I was born and raised in NYC and basically, when we moved to Pittsburgh 7 years ago, that was a big deal. So, I truly enjoyed your story ant Sant Claus Theme park. Your full and vivid descriptions surely make it sound amazing. My goal in life is to finally travel. I want to visit al the ball parks in the US and really travel to see every state. I'm Canadian, although I've travelled for work and pleasure frequently in the USA, (I've been in 26 states at last count) I've never been to Indiana. Your writing and summary of Santa Claus land are a compelling argument to pay them a visit. Great writing and great job of "selling" your state.

Another advertisement you should get paid for! I am embarrassed to say I'm not familiar with it, but maybe living in GA and TX might possibly give me an excuse. No? didn't think so. My heavens but that family really aimed high, didn't they. I cannot imagine the cost of such a mammoth undertaking.
Oh, what is the advantage or maybe I should say the attraction of a wooden roller coaster? I wouldn't think it would last as long.
You have written a very informative and interesting piece about a "out-of-the-box-thinking-family!" and their huge success. Very good.

Lol! Well, thank you so much Katharine for the great review and kind words. Yes, wooden roller coasters do wear out and they have to replace tracks every now and then. Most people have never heard of Holiday World, but it was the first theme park in the nation. Check it out!

You are a much better writer than you think. This article has convinced me we want to take the great grandkids to the park. Again, I would think your state magazines would be interested. Illinois also has an online tourist guide so maybe that would be a site to try to sell to. You might have to cut a few words, but you have so much interesting info it would be hard. It would be a good idea to have phone numbers/web sites for the motel and RV park.

Yes, and it was built in the middle of a corn field. However, people from all over the world come to this place and yes, they need someone like me who can market their product, lol!

After reading this post, I went to YouTube and typed in Holiday World Roller Coasters. Wow Wee! You get to experience all the wooden coasters and a huge Wing Coaster as a narrator talks and someone takes a camera as they ride. Thank you for this very engaging experience. Who knew?
