I'm sorry to read about your health issues.
The prospect of losing an eye must be terrifying.
I'm glad your husband is supportive.
I hope this bombardment treatment gives its fruits and that on the 28 the eye surgeon has good news.
You are in my prayers and please let your other eye rest .. I understand writing helps you cope with the stress and anxiety this ordeal are causing you but please don't over work your healthy eye.

I have done some things with natural healing, but if the constant changing of drops and medications didn't help heal my eye, that needs a cornea transplant, that would be a scary thing to try something on your own. Especially when six different specialists have looked at it and tried and have not been able to. I do help myself everyday with at least six drops a day and oral medication for a terrible abrasion and scar from scratching it when it was tripled infected from covid eye. They even tried Oxervate because the nerves were all dead. That is $100,000. Special eye drop that is so sterile and have to so careful with it that if you do it right, it grows back the nerves. They needed to do that before they could do the transplant, but my lupus is causing so many infections and inflammation that won't heal. So no, this is far too serious to think about that.

I feel your pain my dear. I am half blind since birth, without my glasses I am half blind, with glasses 20-30 at best. Lately my vision has improved my brother who is an optometrist says that is one of the few things near sighteness that gets better with age!!! i also have a cataract but so far don't need surgery

Being fairly new here, Debi, I had no idea you were going through this. Makes my cataracts seem mild in comparison. I can understand how they feel lupus may be having a background effect, also, with still so little known about long-covid, the fact that the original injury occurred when you were infected with that malodorous virus could also be very relevant.
I can only join my prayers with the others and hope you get things back to a more normal state soon.
