I'm afraid I'm not a very good example of restraint, but I hope to end up with my family and friends in Heaven. There is so much low hanging fruit in this world, and by that I mean all kinds of temptation - food, things to buy, thoughts, deep dislike, the desire to relive situations badly handled and the knowledge that you can't. So many things.
To those whose better judgement helped them steer clear of temptation, congratulations!

What a great poem and a wonderful reminder of faith and responsibility. By weaving the "low hanging fruit " into the narrative, I am reminded if the story of Adam and Eve and the consequences of choosing the easy way out.

When God confronted Adam, instead of taking responsibility for his actions, Adam tried to blame Eve and even God saying "The woman YOU put here with me."
So we have been warned. We all received the gift of free will and we are all responsible for our choices.

So true. We cannot blame God if we suffer consequences of our own poor choices. Free will is a gift we should not abuse. Your free verse provides much food for thought.
