The recurring line,"you'll always be my sweetie pie" is catchy and works perfectly with your rhyming pattern.

Favorite line: And do our sneakers really sneak?
The last line made me think the lullaby might also be called "You'll always be my Sweetie Pie." Is this set to music?

Hi Crystie, you know I don't have a tune in mind but I like your idea. I always hum along with my poems to make sure I am in meter. And that is a great name for it. To tell you the truth, my granddaughter who I wrote this for is 18 years old, but just yesterday she was five. LOL

Well this is the cutest thing I've seen today! It captures the beauty of the relationship between grandchild and grandmother, such a treasure! Sweetie pie is such a fun loving term, it makes me think of my kids when they were babies with their big round cheeks and chubby thighs, and I'd say ,'I could just eat you up!' Lol.
