Miriam is strong and in this matter she won't be beaten. Cornelius is unscrupulous and evil, but will not be victorious in this. Eleanor needs to quickly find her,and together and with the others they can come out on top. Good will ultimately triumph over evil - that's the reality. Very intense and eerie chapter. I like the intuition and insight of the animals, and I do wonder if they will play a small part in the devolution of the story

This chapter...the separate dimensions created by the mirror... is eerily believable and I was instantly pulled into the story.
Miriam is temporarily weakened, but her stark determination to see justice dine will triumph. Of this I am sure!

Miriam's animals are as worried about her being missing as Eleanor is. Cornelius is seeking a boy? His grandson or Antonio? Mariam is hoping Antonio can come save her. Eleanor doesn't know about Cornelius, does she?

I really enjoyed how your story pulls me in with Miriam's strong emotions and her connection to the past. The way you bring out her memories like her love for Antonio is powerful. I felt the tension between her and Cornelius. I can't wait to see what happens next! Keep it up!
