This is such a beautifully written, true story and it is a wonderfully written story. I know that you long to see him again and you will one day, because he's waiting at the door of Heaven to greet you when you go to be with him. May you have a blessed day and a wonderful Thanksgiving. Patricia.

Wow that's sad as I can relate to the grief as we just lost my step son October 1st. He didn't live with as he was 36, but it is strange to think he won't walk through the door here ever again. My condolences to you!

This is very well crafted. By seemingly focusing on the boot and their characteristics, it allowed the reader to empathize with your emotions and how you dealt with the loss of your husband. Good writing and editing throughout.

Your grief is palpable, deeply felt.It is penetrating, I can say no more. I hope these memories will lessen over the years, will take many and never totally gone. You obviously loved him dearly.
