I'm glad that you mention pain with the passion here, as often they play equal parts. The tangled knots of the emotions parallel the tangled knots of the rope.

Great entry to this competition. There's tension in it with the pain and passion while 'tangled knots' give a vivid illustration of how deep feelings last.

oohhhhh I like that. Very good for someone who hates short poems lol 4 words per line, 5 syllables per line and it rhymes! Not sure it can get better than that. Good luck in the contest.
