I had no idea Tanka had anything to do with being a poem lovers exchanged. I didn't even realize it was a Japanese form. With that in mind, your Tanka seems written for the occasion. It sounds very romantic.

This is a passionate love story, that is expressed from one lover, to excite the response of the other. She states her desires clearly as being taken high as the sky and grounded as the waters of sea. Very passionate and omoelling verses.
