you got that right. Every day is like a weekend once you no longer have to go to an office or a job. I am so glad I was able to take early retirement and don't have to go back to work.

Nicely written 20 syllable poem. BTW, its surprising how I, a senior, soon fell into the daily routine and took off on the weekends. But heck, weekends soon become weekdays. Must learn to trade weekdays (more of them) for weekends. May work. =)
Best of luck for the contest, Debi.

Hump day!
This is a fun little twenty-syllable poem contest entry, Debi. I loved the old commercial.
Mike! Mike! Mike! Guess what day it is?
God bless,

Hi Steve, hahaha, I loved that commercial. Hey, also can you tell me what the pronunciation of your pen name is and the syllables?
And thanks for the kind comments and for having a little fun with me with my hump day poem. I appreciate you so much. Love, Debi

My pleasure, Debi. It was such a fun piece. Ne-o two syllables from The Matrix, and my middle name, New-man two syllables. Neonewman.

This is filled with fun Debi. I always loved hump day when I was working. The week was half over and now as a "senior" every day can be whatever I want it to be.
Blessings

This is a funny picture. Your poem says a lot. Most of the days are the same when you are retired. I have to ask my Alexa what day of the week it is so Hump Day isn't quite as important as it once was.

"Happy Hump Day" lets us know that the glorious weekend is coming soon. Well, at least for those who have anything to look forward to. LOL.

Hi Ric, I don't know what possessed me to do this on the subject of hump day. Maybe partly because it was Wednesday and the other might have been the picture I found.
So, thanks for the kind comments and for having a little fun with me with my hump day poem. I appreciate you so much. Love, Debi

LOL~this is a great entry for the 20 Syllable Poem competition, Debi! That photo is hilarious and your poem is funny and fun. It's very true that those of us who are retired with no specific work obligations don't need to fear those Monday morning blues--although, after 50 years of working, it takes awhile to get out of that mindset and say Ahhhh! on Mondays. Great job!

Debi,
This is a very witty poem. You say so much in just a few short lines. The picture sets the tone of the poem. I love that you can just bust a poem out with what looks like no effort. Keep them coming.

Haha. I like the usage of the hump of a camel to imply the Hump day, too. I like the humor in the poetry as well as in the cartoon. I'm still working part-time for fun because I realize that work is and has been a major part of my social life :) even though I have tones of hobbies. Now, I think I should retire so I can have fun all week long!
Excellent.
