A lovely tribute to Glen and Debi for their fifty years of marriage, an achievement that is worthy of congratulations. They will be thrilled to read your fine poem, and it will make a special book for them!

Hello Terry,
this is the second tribute to Debi and Glen that I've read. I see that I need to start following her. Fifty years is a long time for anyone to be together, and especially so in this day and age. They are to be congratulated. Well done on your tribute.
Have a blessed evening.

Hi, Dolly, thanks for reading. I am no match for you all real poets. Terry.

I have heard her tell stories about the mean green machine. She fell in love with the car before she fell for Glen, but both made the adult decision to set it free when babies came along. This was a fun poem and a surprise entry from you. We'll done! Gretchen

When you get with the right one, two or three lifetimes is not enough. The only thing you can do is to make the most out of every experience, even the ones that might hurt or make you cry.

What a tribute of happiness and times filled with joy through out the years. When a couple is fortunate to find and then build upon a lasting relationship it is one of the most wonderful moments to share.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Carol, thank you for reading. They accomplished a lot, and they were very young, with the odds against them. We can all celebrate that. Terry.

I'll celebrate love anytime.... There's nothing better especially when two people work at it with all their heart.

Lol. I was going to say something about that green car but you said it best using this dialogue format for your poem! Loved it, Terry! And you even used "merry-go-round" - the name of the poetic form that Debi created!

Will the real poet please stand up. Surprise, surprise. It's Terry the poet. This is a perfect tribute to Debi and Glen, as you capture part of their life story in poetry. I love the reference to Glen's Roadrunner and Debi's attraction to it. Your last stanza is priceless. Thank you for recognizing our dear friend, poet and storyteller.
Congratulations Debi and Glen.

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. No, wait, for Debi's Glen she won him over when she fell for his car:-)
Terry, who knew? You're a damn good poet! I think you sum up their years together quite well with your poem, and it rhymes well and is funny too.
Congratulations to you for pulling this off, and congratulations to Debi and Glen on fifty years. I can't even imagine.
xoxo

LOL, Pam you are being way to kind to a wayward prose writer. I did think the picture sort of worked. Terry.
