This would be a lovely modern hymn if set to music. It's accessible, friendly and gives a strategy that's easy to implement when things are just that bit darker than one would like.

Hey Sallyo, it is so good to hear from you. That was so sweet what you said about putting it to music. Yes, music is so therapeutic too.

I thank you so very much for the kind review and comments for my bright side poem. We all know women usually have more problems than men when it comes to having the blues. Those old hormones that still pop in there from time to time. It really does help me tho to give it to God.

And I thank you again for the kind comments and review, my dear friend.

It can be really hard sometimes when dark thoughts crowd our mind, and you describe that feeling well in your piece here. It's important to remember that there is always someone watching out for us. An excellent piece, Debi.

Hi Debi. I liked your poem a lot, however, as you probably know I'm a non believer. I'm also blessed with a positive attitude, so I hope you can get out of your blues and see the bright side of things once more. Ulla xcx

Hi Ulla, I have a few non-believer friends here, and just as I do with you, we all very respectfully accept the other's views. Y'know, I don't love my friends any more or less because of of their spiritual beiliefs, but for the kind of friend they are to me, and how we have always interacted. I hope you feel the same.

Thanks tho, for the very kind review and comments, my very dear friend.

A very powerful and uplifting poem. Sometimes the dark cloud will remain, however you are right, finding the bright side on prayer gives one comfort and strength.
Best regards
Mary

In those darkest moments when it becomes hard for us to find Jesus, He usually seems to find us. No matter how lost the sheep, the Good Shepherd always finds them.

You are so right; a little prayer and the good Lord presents us with another view, a better view. I can say I'm not seeing the bright side yet, but the grief is much easier to deal with.

Hey Carol, what is going on? Are you ok? Has someone died?

I appreciate all your kind words for mine, but I can tell you are hurting. If you like to talk about it, I am here for you, my dear friend. Thanks for the nice review. Love, Debi

Yes, someone did die but I'm not yet ready to talk about it. I am going to write his story so everyone can love him as much as I do.

a moving and powerful poem about searching for the bright side of life, seeing the beauty of nature and God's creation in everything and seeing that light of love.

Excellent flow in the rhyming quatrains of this poem. Life can be overwhelming and it can be difficult to pivot from darkness and depression to hopeful light. I think it's wonderful that you are composing poetry to encourage your readers to face the future with faith. There is always help forthcoming when we ask the Divine.

Blessings, Julia

It is good if you are able to find the bright side of life, Debi, and I'm so pleased you can. Your poem sends out a positive message on how you have achieved this. I've almost given up on it happening to me. I enjoyed reading your lovely poem, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Sandra, I know about your breathing and I guess I don't know what else is going on, but I wish I could make you feel better.

My help is my faith. It is the only thing that gets me through as my lupus, kidney disease and chronic anemia, among everything else and not being able to walk. I am not telling you all that to make it sound like I am complaining, but just saying you are not alone.

I hope you know I would do anything to help you, my dear friend. It breaks my heart to see you suffering so, and yet I understand about your brother and know how hard it is. God bless you, my dear dear friend and I will pray extra hard for you. Thanks so much for your lovely review. Love you. Debi
