Great description of what level of pain when a heart is broken. I really liked "waiting for the sun to thrust the night away". We can rest in God is compassionate and "binds up broken hearts."

This was very intriguing. I got the feeling that this was about a loveless union. That even with the person beside you, there was such distance. There was a loneliness that echoed. It would be heartbreaking to literally be alone with the one who used to mean the world to you. Gretchen

I think we've all felt a broken heart. It is difficult to heal, or maybe impossible to ever completely heal. I enjoyed reading this poem. It's extremely emotional.
