Hi Crystie,
This is a sad way to end a prom. It had such promise at the beginning.
What a horrible guy. But some high school bmoc are like this, I am told.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.

Wonderful rhyming tale of betrayal and heartbreak. I thought for a minute at the end she was going to kill him so real tension there! The story progresses well in a gentle, rhythmic flow, holding the reader's attention but with expectation in the air. Really enjoyable, enhanced by the image. Thanks for sharing and good luck, Debbie

Thank you for your perceptive review. That made staying up late worth it.

You either wrapped a great poem around this image or found the most perfect image for a great poem. You captured the events at the house, and let the events at the prom unfold. Great read

I must admit, I found the photo first while looking for something else and thought this photo could tell more than one story. Thank you so much for your super review.

I think the very first heartbreak when we are young takes its toll on us and they we become wary of future connections and the possibility of a having our hearts broken. An entertaining story and I did not expect to end like this, but that's life, much enjoyed Crystie, love Dolly x x

Thank you for your five-star review. Hopefully in real life this only happens once in fifty thousand proms, but who knows.

I like the theme and the way the poem flows. It could easily be read as a prose story. Love is always complicated. Some young minds may even never recover from lost love.
