I am so very sorry for your loss. Your poem is as raw with love and honest admiration as any I've read. How fortunate you have so many golden memories to cling to--they will buoy you up through this turbulent sea of grief... This is when poetry is so beautiful-when it moves the reader to tears and acts as a therapeutic balm to the writer. I am certain your eulogy will be spectacular! Speak, as you did here, from your heart filled with love and loss...Karenina

Hi Nancy
Thank you for your review it is very much appreciated
I am sorry for my late reply but I was attending
my brothers funeral this week. My husband and I
needed to travel over 1500kls interstate to attend
under difficult Quarantine requirements.
However with much hassle we arrived the day before
Jim had a beautiful funeral service
and I was privileged to do his eulogy
Then we had to come straight home another 1500kls
I will miss my brother very much

I almost didn't read your poem because I knew it would be sad. We are of the age in our family where one of us will leave the group sooner rather than later probably. I am a coward but I hope I will be first.
I am glad that you had so much time together and I know you will focus on all the wonderful times and love you shared.
There are some strong, loving images in the poem. It is a nice tribute to him and to you both as family members. May God Bless.

There is so much in your heart that will never leave. I am the last in my family to survive so I know how it is to lose those that were so close they were soulmates. Losing that kind of attachment is hard but we have such precious memories as you so nicely penned in your poem and your letter.
He's with the angels and they'll fly the letter to him.
Love
Ralf

I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. You were lucky to have had all the wonderful times with him to remember, and this is a lovely tribute to him you have written. I'm sure he feels your love from up above. My brother passed away 2 years ago, but we were estranged for a long time and when he died I didn't feel anything....or so I thought. One day I just broke down and was inconsolable. Love never dies. Thank you for sharing this.

Hello Chrissy,
Such a moving and poignant offering.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Yet my words of comfort seem so shallow ...
You have written a beautiful tribute, and I hope it brings you comfort and peace.
If I were to make any suggestions, it would only be to separate stanza 5 into two parts for the sake of presentation.
Thank you for sharing, Chrissy ...
Take Care,
diane

The author's words are heartfelt, sad, clear and creative. I found the author's words to be a beautiful tribute to her brother. I found the letter
detailed and filled with emotion. The poem flows and connects well.
The artwork is perfect. I am so sorry for your loss.....Maria

I sincerely hope that permits are issued and you two will be on your way to give a sweet conclusion and closure to your farewell to your dear brother, I said farewell to my brother three years ago, and miss his good humoured jibes, he was just the same in the end as he had always been. I hope all we well, my best wishes go with you, well done Chris, blessings Roy

What a loving tribute to your brother. I hope that the 'burdens' of travel will be overcome.
During grief, it is so hard to focus on cherishing the memories. So well done.
