Very tongue-in-cheek humor throughout this poem. I love the picture of Sawyer, and the creative descriptions of what he steals.

An evil eye, without a try
That leander boy has displays it
but it's my guess that there's a yes
and nothing much delays it.

'Leander.' Leander must have been a little busy man, taking away all of those things. A very nice poem you have created here, Brooke. Well done.

You have really captured the look on Sawyers face with this story in a poem, Brooke. LOL, you really have to smile at him. Your story is brilliant and I am sure he will appreciate it when he is older, probably have a real chuckle. Good luck in the contest, Brooke, the story, rhyme and rhythm are perfect. xsx Sandra

A wonderful write on Leander ...a naughty little boy.His adventures and misadventures are all recorded most beautifully here. The first para is interesting "Leander was an evil boy/And had the eye to prove it/His body once contained a heart/ But someone had removed it.
He stole honey from the bees, scent from flowers and water from clouds. He even looted robin's eggs and stole the silver from the stars and....'
An excellent job.Highly recommended.

Wow this is a wonderful piece for adults and children alike. I just love it. The tickles, the butterflys, the honey...
The sour from the pickles...now okay for that. :)

I think we met Leander before. What a dreadful little boy! I agree with his mom. Stealing the starlight is the limit.
This is fun to read and made me smile. Well done on an interesting and amusing poem. Good Luck in the contest.

Loved this. Quirky and funny with a rhyme that's easy to follow and flows so very well.

Great picture too to compliment it!

Thanks for sharing.

Methinks they're raising many Leanders nowadays. The kiddies are so insolent. Loved this poem relaying all the evil Lee got up to. But more, I absolutely loved the expression on the cute face. He's up to no good, that's for sure. Well written and best wishes for the contest. Luv jada

Thanks so much, Jada. He's been tossing his food, even the kinds he likes, and Mommy thinks he's naughty! LOL Brooke
