Such a charming write.
I especially like the use of "swash" and "buckle" here:
"Mummy, my Teddy and I will be playing
Outside in the garden," I hear Molly saying.
"We'll prob'ly be busy; I hope you don't mind.
There's pirates to battle and treasure to find."
"Blackbeard again!" I think with a chuckle.
"Oh where is my swash? Oh, where is my buckle?"

Thank you - some lines come like magic and the swash/buckle line was one of them. I actually patched this together in haste with the deadline only minutes away - the whole thing took less than two hours.

OHHHHH! I loved this poem! It was just great written from Teddy's point of view and in his voice. I loved the "pirate" words: esp piratical and scuppered! I also loved the dolly's name, Jemima, and Teddy's interaction with her at the tea party. Flow was spectacular and word choice to die for. Thank you for a very well-written work!

Snoopy poem? Wow! Or just as good: Woodstock. (I even have a tiny Woodstock tatoo discretly located on an inner arm. Don't tell anyone!)

I'm guessing Evan is your little boy - I have been pleased to hear that several reviewers have road-tested this on their kids/grandkids - my only grand-daughter is a thousand miles away, but I look forward to reading it to her one day.

Very cute. Nicely worded with an authentic sounding voice. The meter/cadence was handled well. I didn't find any major SPAGs to note. The mental visuals were great. Write more kid's stuff - this was darling.
