Such a sweet memory for so many, my son had a rather large Teddy as a toddler. Of course for him it was as much a wrestling partner as anything...the difference between girls and boys I suppose. Thank you for such a playful and memorable piece.

Thanks, Dave. I think most people have had a teddy in their lives somewhere, even if it's only hearing about Winnie the Pooh. Maybe that's why this has been popular.

Think this poem is so cute and funny.
More for slightly older children or adults.
Like the originality witting about a Teddy and his adventures.
Well done.
Wish you all the best for the prompt.

I love this macho teddy bear named "Ted" and the little girl who likes to play pirates as much as mudpies. Very creative. Wonderful line, "Oh where is my swash? Oh, where is my buckle?" Good luck to you, Jeanie Mercer

Thank you, jeanie.
Some lines come like magic, and that was one of them. The whole poem was written and posted in an hour!

Beautifully conceived and wonderfully executed. You took me on a vivid journey through this child's mind with beautiful visualization. The rhyme drove the poem almost in lullaby fashion, loved it.

This is a great poem for The life of a... contest; one of the best I've seen, in fact. Great rhyme and meter, and an enjoyable story, too! Good luck in the contest.

What an endearing poem! Such a beautiful story told from the point of view of a child and her sweet teddy bear playmate. Just the right touch of imagination, fun, joy in the telling of this delightful tale. I wish you well in this contest.

Thank you for the review and the kind words.
I actually patched this together in haste with the deadline only minutes away, so the outcome was pleasing!

Greetings, A very cute story. I love this prompt and I think you fit the bill to a "T". It is a difficult thing to give inanimate objects life, but I think you did an excellent job with this contest entry. Best to you. Chrisfiore

HI!, this tale of the day that a teddy spent, helping his young mistress rid the world of bandits and villains, is enthralling. I've read it three times and enjoyed it more each time, it's a wonderful poem, thanks for sharing. wiljacro.

This is just a terrific little poem! The theme is perfect, there were no - zero - strains in the rhyme, and no - zero -phrases that needed to be turned around. This poem was absolutely wonderful. Hands down, as I see it.
