Hi Sandra,
This chapter shows how unexpected time travel is. It gives good description of setting and character development. I like that their clothes change as they travel. This way they fit in more easily.
It seems an argument between Gladys and her husband is in the offing for the next chapter. I bet he doesn't agree with his wife about women's vote.
Does the maid see the time travelers too.
Congrats on the contest win.

Oh, what a surprise, thank you so much, Joan. Mildred is quite the star in this book, it's the last of the trilogy. I didn't expect to be writing about her again, but too many people kept asking me too. So I've teamed her up with Bessie, from my last book. Mildred can be seen all the time, but Veronica only sometimes, she has to do things that would be impossible if she could be seen. No, Gladys's husband is a brute! Thank so much for this review, my friend, I really appreciated it. Love and hugs. Sandra xx

Omigosh, Sandra! I am having the BEST time reading this book! You bring such life to History, which, until two days ago, was never one of my favorite subjects. This will be my favorite daily indulgence this summer!! xo

First of all, congratulations on your Novel of the Month win. Well deserved! You've created an authentic scene here, both with the march itself, and with your description of the house with its dour Victorian/Edwardian furnishings.
I love that expression, "in a right tizwoz!" - haven't head it in ages!

Thank you so much for the congrats, Tony. I honestly believed you would win it this time, your book is very popular. It's strange, I often throw in an expression that I use quite regularly, and have people either not having heard it before, or, like you, hadn't heard it in a long while. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part. That era was very dowdy in it's furnishings, and I think my grandparents were stuck in that time too, they never changed their scheme from the dark, heavy wallpaper. It didn't matter what my mother or her brothers and sisters said to them. Thanks for the lovely review, Tony. :) Sandra xx

This is another fine chapter to your book, Sandra. It's an interesting thing to contemplate. Time traveling from this to that. Good scene setting and bits of dialogue in this chapter. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Thank you so much, Marilyn. I'm really hoping you will publish your book so I can buy it. I'm so far behind but know it's going to be a really good book to read. If you don't, then I will open it on my little IPad and read it. Thank you for the good-luck wishes, I think Tony is going to get it this time. :)) Sandra xxx

Right away, I knew I was going to give you six stars. Why? Because you made it easy for me to read by adding in the ending of the last chapter before starting the first. This sounds like a really interesting story, and I plan on reading more. Personally, I think that "Between This Time & That Time" is fine, and I don't think it's too long. Either title is fine. I wish you the best in the contest.

Thank you so much, Renee! What a lovely review. I'm glad you like that title, it would slot in nicely with the other two books..It's lovely to have you on board, I do hope you enjoy the rest of the story. A humongous thank you for the 6 stars! Chapter three is on now until Thursday. Thanks for the best wishes, too. :)) Sandra xx x

You've done it again Sandra.... created a captivating chapter that leaves me anxious to read more.
Oh boy, the husband does not sound like a charming fellow. :-(
You have such a mastery for storytelling. :-)

Oh I love reading about historical events like this. It's hard to imagine how recently women were not allowed to vote. But now, the problem is too many people don't care enough to go out and vote. Title? Hmm...Remember That Time?

Thank you, Lou, for this lovely review. You're right, it wasn't that long ago, and in some countries today, it still isn't happening. How awful to have to live always in the shadows of men! I don't think my husband would get away with it!! LOL. Thank you for your suggestion, too, I'm collecting them and when I have a few more, I'll decide which to use, or even put it to a vote on here, as it's the customer that looks at the title first, then checks the back book blurb. I hope to see you again! Big hugs, Sandra xxxx

Excellent and interesting chapter - a good way to teach history through entertainment!
Only one question -
warned to stay inside when they [[knew - found out/heard?]] we were on the way. (Also, this paragraph is not indented like the rest.)
The descriptions of the house and the walk to it are lovely, but perhaps shorten a little bit, or break them up just a little with some dialog or action? (Or maybe I'm just tired, because it's late here...)
Good chapter!
