This is another new one for me! and its effect on me is profound. So clever, to say so much, in so few word, about words. I really like it, and the art work is also clever, the books leading upward like a staircase. Very well done, Mary.

They often DO 'have a profound effect on us', Mary, whether bad or good, though of course many are shallow and meaningless, and best ignored - especially if offensive or pompous.
I really like your 1st line to describe words.

Nice metaphor in this Katie 21, using vehicle to drive the power words have on all of us. Words can run one over or stop us in midstream. As writers, we hope to drive people with our words and evoke emotions and provoke thought.
