A beautiful heartfelt poem full of wonderment and promise. Ah the innocence of youth looking at nature in a way we adults cannot comprehend because we have outlived our naivety. For only the cocoon leaves us wanting in tremulous temerity forsooth not to be. Let this be a lesson to all those wanting and searching for the caterpillar of our youth. Good job for some wondrous verse.

Congratulations! Love the innocence portrayed in your well penned poem of a small child watching, and learning about a caterpillar.

Delightful... and insightful! "Metamorphosis" is a perfect title for a child's wondering about what will happen when he/she grows up. The rhyme and rhythm make this a poem that is easy to read aloud. I'd give you as 6 if I had one. Just know that I am enchanted with your style of writing.

This is a precious sonnet to "growth", even the title plays on the big change a child and a caterpillar experience in their life phases. Your rhyme was perfect for this poem, your word choice and artwork work to create a perfect contest winner.

This builds beautifully toward: "Will I, too, morph as drastically?" The caterpillar is poetry in motion. One of nature's wonder. Love the story in this. Wonderfully written. Les

Greata children's poem.
love the picture that tells the story all by itself.
Good rhythm and rhyme.
Strong entry in the Growth prompt, giving a nature study class of the metamorphosis off the butterfly

Aside from the super cute premise of a child pondering a caterpillar, I enjoyed the use of consonant rhyming in your first two stanzas. This is something I don't see much outside of internal rhyme and admire its use.

Bill, thank you for your close reading. I don't often get a chance to use consonant rhyming and could not pass up the opportunity. As always, thank you for your encouragement. Rod
