the sunrise
occasionally a cloud
will block it's view
but sooner or later
we see the light
Liked that verse the best. The whole poem is gorgeous. Well done.

I like the flow, and the many senses you were making....It's a hard concept to come up with. But you are absolutely right; poetry is indeed like a water fall, and really is like the metaphors you used. How I wish this to be a contest....I would have voted it in....

I really like your creative similes as you describe the nature of poetry
revel in it's glow - drop the apostrophe
block it's view - drop the apostrophe
heart-shaped piece of chocolate - add the hyphen

Oh! My! Do we have a chocolate rush going on here with this poem maybe????We all seem to like poetry even though it is tough to write for some of us with all the fang led styles.
