I create when I walk outdoors. Nature is a great place to collect your thoughts.
His pen transcribes the joy of inner man - yes, that is the aim of poetry.
Great use of repetition at the end where the same lines take on a meaning more profound.

I enjoyed it very much. I was able to put myself by that stream. Sitting on the fun drenched bank absorbed on thought and writing. You wrote this with a quiet pen. To me that mean, soft, subtle and smooth...
Your words are amazing... John

I enjoyed it very much. So quiet and so so full of flowing beauty. By the riverside and the sound of water flowing, makes a most beautiful picture.
Just lovely.
The words are full of imageries and give the writing lots of body strength.
Well done

Hi, Miss Carolyn.
I like the tone of this poem very much and the theme is very easy to connect with.
You have nicely shared what can inspirea poet to write as we write what we feel.
The artwork is just perfect for your poem.
I like the siplke phrasing and it flows nicely.
You did an amazing work!

Wonderful poem, just as Pam said in her own poem about "the crafter".
He waits not on a muse but plunges in
With memories long thought to be obscure
Yes! This is the only way to write good nature poetry, to put one's own experiences and feelings into it. You hit the nail on the head here, as they say.

Hi Carolyn,
This is a sweet, reflective write. I love that this man who is not rich moneywise knows what it is that makes a man truly rich ... love, family, nature. He appreciates the simpler things in life and realizes that these are worth more than anything else.
Very nice, Carolyn!

A wonderful poem Carolyn and one of originality, serenity and one of total calmness. The feeling that you portrayed to your imagery was one of free from mental or emotional distress or agitation. I felt like I was the man in the picture with a book by the by the waters of forever flowing as it whistled down the river. Your iambic pentameter and rhythm is done very well. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. You have a good one and God bless.
