Sometimes, it's almost impossible to believe or relate to the abstract poems that people write. But there is one thing I can say about your poem is that most of us can certainly relate to yours. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this original and moving verse about betrayal. Your strong words mimicking the sentiments of the Lord's Prayer capture the unflinching reality of living on the breadline. An impressive entry! Well done and good luck

There are too many stories like that all over the world. The family unit seems broken beyond repair. This is a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest! Have a great day, and God bless.

Wow. I don't know what to say. The color of the background is sad, but maybe that is what you intended. And the Artwork selected... what's with the illegible boxes in the corner? No ill intent intended.
Good luck with your entry.

That's so devastating to think of how any parent can leave a family destitute. I liked how you used the Lord's Prayer as a model and showed us an ungodly father who isn't like our Heavenly Father Who does care for us.
Best wishes in the contest!

Good lord. I was not expecting that. What an awful thing to do to your family. This is a strong entry for this betrayal contest. This well-crafted piece answered the call.
God bless,
Steve

This is a dark and sad poem about a father's betrayal. I'm sure there are many who can relate, having a parent leave. I think that's the ultimate betrayal. Best of luck in the contest.

This is definitely a good betrayal poem. The imagery is effective and the poem flows well. The image presentation supports your words well.

Best wishes,

Alex

This is inventive and clever and I enjoyed the concept of this write even thought the metre is uneven I still enjoyed the sarcastic humour here. Your prayer is honest and raw Jen, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x x x

Scribe, you've penned a dark humored work that is well rhymed with all negative propositions...No redeeming features for protagonist((s) and/or
antagonist(s)...It definitely meets the requirements of said contest. Good
luck. teafor2
