Many thanks for your positive and encouraging review. Apparently, most of the dawn chorus birds are males, and because they are perched high in trees, they see the sunrise first, and then their symphony starts.
It must be the best sound in the world.

I enjoyed the sentiment in this magical poem, the dawn chorus is something I miss in the winter months. I had a robin sing to me once and I recorded it as I was so close. I really enjoy this form but much prefer it written with metre, I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for your encouraging review. I have a resident robin, and seeing him at the top of the tree singing away is a real treat.
I have never heard of a rondeau poem before so
