This is an interesting journey, Morris.
The way you turn a commute into an exploration and examination of the lives around the protagonist was very well managed.
We learn nothing about the one doing the observing, but at the same time, so much.
An excellent first post. Welcome to FanStory.

Excellent writing. Good work.
Couldn't see a thing to improve upon, except maybe the decision to attempt a flip on the subway. (They were laughing 'at you. - smiley face here)
Good luck in the contest.

Very interesting reflection. I subscribe to these lines, and you are right each of us are carrying a mystery everyday when I use public transport. " am tempted to unravel each individual's narrative on the train as though they are rich characters in a novel. With the adventures of Holden Caulfield in my hand, I consider that I might be his equally observant, curious, and spontaneous counterpart, only less cynical and jaded." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thanks! It's more on the reflective side as I used it for my personal statement on my college application.
