Perhaps grandma is reflecting ok those bygone years when she had her chops and could do the same. Many times little things make us relive these younger times in our lives with pleasure.

    That is ture, I was expressing the feeling of empathy, but did not remember that they didn't have teeth.

What a wonderful old lady! Who needs teeth when you're as joyful as her. I like the "kinship" with the turtle because there is an undeniable similarity. Cleverly done in your Gogyohka verse, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

Thank you for sharing this cute poem. I have a friend who has no teeth and is finally able to get false teeth. She struggles eating. I never thought about it but probably much like a turtle. Your presentation was perfect.

There would be nothing worse than losing all one's teeth, or even most of them, they are decidedly useful when eating one's food, otherwise we'd have to 'gum' everything, beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy
