Wow, what a story it melted my heart, the ending is a bang for the buck:) ""There is more to being alive than sitting as a fixture in a dark, dingy room, no matter how seemingly safe. And despite the dog bite, the cut over my eye, the close-call wreck, and the pneumonia I'll likely get from being cold and wet, this has been a wonderful night. One of the best of my life. Tonight, I was living." " Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thank you so much, Iza, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. I'm so glad you like the second part of my story. I hope you liked the first part as must as the second. They are both very different but I think one sets the other up to make it better, or at least I hope so. I just wanted to write something different than my typical scary Halloween stories. I appreciate your encouraging review!

I especially enjoyed the ease with which Billy was able to escape the Juvenile Detention Center. He put forth a lot of effort to get his friend Tubby out of the house. Even though Tubby was fearful at first, and ended up with a dog bite, and other injuries he was grateful for what his friend did for him. I loved the happy ending.

Thank you so much, Lorraine, for reading the second chapter and I hope you liked it as much as the first. Both parts are very different, but the boys are still the same nice people who truly are friends. I'm glad you liked the happy ending. Well, sort of happy. :-) I appreciate YOU!

Oh, man...I just gave my six to the first chapter! Consider yourself virtually "sixed" for this one, Ric. The greatest gift anyone could have given Tubby was to treat him like the boy he is. inside. Our disabilities don't define us... other perceptions of what we can NOT do limit our ability to enjoy life...
My best friend when I was 12-14 was permanently in a wheelchair with Spina Bifida. She was the smartest, wittiest, most rambunctious girl I knew, and she loved that I loved her for it!
Billy is an angel in disguise. So are you!

Thank you so much, Karenina, for your generous review and kind words. I'm sure there are many of us who have shared similar experiences with special friends. And the most rewarding blessings in life are to have been there for them. The greatest wealth we can attain is not monetary, but heart fulfilling. It's always a pleasure to see your name pop up. I appreciate YOU!

Hi Ric. So glad I didn't have to wait long for part 2 of your exceptional story and I enjoyed reading it just as much as part 1. So fast paced and exciting and great dialogue that was so believable. Brilliant! Love Jen.

Thank you so much, Jen, for yet another fantastic, special six fest. It's almost like being the host of a party. So, someone pour us a drink. Oops, I don't drink anymore, but in my world, wine doesn't count, so give me a large pour. In the old days when friends would order double whiskeys, my bartenders knew it was quadruples for me, and I didn't even have to explain. LOL. I'm so glad you liked both parts. I appreciate YOU always!

Tubby had an eventful night with his best friend, Billy. He experienced many emotions despite getting bitten and bang up a little. Tubby had the time of his life. I loved this story, Ric. Brilliant work, my friend.
God bless,
Steve

Hi Ric, I hope you are doing well. Now to the story. They had a heck of a night didn't they? You wrote it so very well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. All best, Ulla:)))

Thank you so much, Ulla, for your kind words and generous review. I never post two chapters simultaneously out of respect for readers' time, but with a Halloween story three-days late, I had no choice. LOL. Thanks for taking time out for my foolishness. Much appreciated!

Being an invalid on and off growing up, and now all the time. I do not let myself think very much on the what if"s. They will depress you, and wanting can kill you as good as a bullet. Since access to books, cable,VHS, DVD's and, the internet, I travel any where I want to go. :-) Grand, and believable writing. Karen

Thank you so much, Karen, for another of your wonderful reviews and kind words. We don't think about it often but there are so many people who can't come and go as they please. But those of us who have lost our mobility for any length of time learn quickly how difficult the limitations can become. I never read, watched tv, or used the internet, until I spent 20-years in a chair or on the couch after my second broken neck. But now, I'm somewhat like you since I can't do much anymore. I travel the world and experience breathtaking adventures through television and books, and all from my comfy butt recliner. It's always a pleasure, my dear. I appreciate YOU!

I thought this was a very good story. The writer did an amazing job keeping me as the reader interested it was one of those stories that made me feel like I was actually in the story. It was fun outgoing and exciting. Loved it.

Hello, again, Shawna, I'm so glad to see you made it back to read the second chapter and I hope you liked it as well or better than the first part. So many times we don't stop to think of how many people aren't as fortunate and are unable to do the simplest things alone. But just having someone to care can make things better. I greatly appreciate you fine review and time!

Lots to love here. Your tone was as if you were one of the gang. Smashed, roadkill Frisbee...These characters are rich and worthy of a whole adventure book.

Thank you so much, Nicki, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. It's most special when those I enjoy reading and reviewing regularly take time to read this old hacks scratchings. I remember when you first came to the sight and I hadn't read the first word of your work. Your wonderful smile caught my attention and I knew you had things to say that I wanted to know. I appreciate YOU!
