I liked this poem, nomi, and want it to be recognized just as the others are. The campaign has uncovered a lot of otherwise hidden feelings. Upward from here.

You are so right my friend, you are so right, I can't wait till it's all over and through one way or another we will all make it through. And we will see what will come. Take care and thank you for sharing. You deserve all the stars. Debbie

Hi Nolan.
This is a flowing a well rhymed poem that reminds how much we need more love and acceptance in the political world and the world in general. Yes, we all need to be more like God so a better way can start.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hi Nomi, Hitler wiped out millions of Jews and others he did not want in his 1,000 year Reich. I fear for the voting to go Trump's way. He is pure hate. He hates, blacks, Jews, any foreigners. He reminds me of how Hitler ran the Holocaust. I pray he loses. Please God! Only our prayers can make a difference. Bless you, Kay xx

Thank you. I echo the chant that many Jews and Blacks have stated: "Never Again!" We are not going back, not ever. Even if it takes another civil war, there will not be a return to where hatred rules the roost.

Only if Trump wins the election. He is evil personified.

Dear Nomi,
The six stars are not only for how wonderfully you write, but also because of the topic you have chosen.
They say everyone is racist, but even though I have many flaws, I'm sure that's not one of them.
I've just retired, but I've had students from many different countries and I always loved learning about different races and different religions.
I also go to an English-speaking Catholic church in Madrid and it's always interesting to meet people from Nigeria, the Philippines ....
I have a picture I took many years ago of my son and a black Nigerian friend dressed as angels for the Christmas pageant. Children don't see colour.
Thanks for sharing. It's always a pleasure to read you.

Thank you Heather. Research has proven conclusively that no one is born hating anyone or even anything. It is taught, sometimes forcibly. Put that on the one teaching hate. The Bible scriptures show that hate can be unlearned as well. The case of saul a vicious hater of Christianity, learned to love Jesus and Christianity to the point of becoming a foremost disciple of Christ. This means that there is hope for all haters, they just need to be taught to love. It is expressly disturbing to se people who profess Christianity performing and participating in acts of hatred.

I do agree with everything you've written here, but the sentence that most resonates with me is the last one.
I feel embarrassed when people criticise the Church because of the actions of some.
I'm far from perfect, but there are actions that are two horrific to be believed.
Take care of yourself.

Thanks for sharing the artwork, notes, and poem, nomi. You did a good job with the poem and make some very good points with rhyming couplets.
A very good opening verse establishes the premise. A very good second verse with specific examples about animosity. Every line in that verse is powerful, and I especially like how you end it comparing it to a garden "grown from this hateful seed."
I agree that we are close to seeing which view will win out, and what kind of country we are going to be. You offer a good prayer, and I am doing the same so our country can be better.
An excellent concluding verse. Thanks for sharing your poem and views. I appreciated both.
Have a good evening and rest of your week.

Thank you so much for a review that was critical, expressing thoughts and points that not only made sense, but served as encouragement to this writer to continue on the path I am currently on.

You are very welcome, and I appreciate your reply. I am glad my words were encouraging.

It seems to me that racial prejudice is only the tip of the iceberg, man seems to be biased in a lot of areas, such as politics, (it should be issue based, not party or illusory ideology) football teams, money, class structure, even food we eat, only Christ was unbiased, we should be too, even denominational bias, sheesh. Beautifully written Nomi, blessings Roy

Hi Nolan,
Your poem is so well written, your words carefully chosen, that you make your message known gently and cleverly. You are so right about this all being our earth and that so many people are offended by differences, no matter what they decide them to be, that hate rules a planet created by a God of love. What they don't realize is that we have more that unites us, especially believers, than divides us.
Thank you for the beauty of this poem,
Rhonda

Thank you Rhonda. Reviews like yours make it difficult to single out one review to cite as being outstanding. I could easily cite you every time, but that would be unfair to some of the other outstanding reviewers.

Nolan,
A beautiful straight-forward poem. You chose animosity to speak of, and your excellent well-written rhyme describes its
antidote in lovely terms.
Great poem, Nolan.
Good luck and prayers,
Cindy

Thank you Cindy. I would much rather write about such things as hearts and flowers, but I must write what I am compelled to write. Sometimes the subject is unpleasant.
