The personification of the weeping willow leaps out at me. Way to set the tone and give maximum emotion in an abbreviated form! It's difficult to hone raw emotions such as grief and loss down to the 17 syllables allowed -- but you've done it with finesse!

There is emotion and sadness in your words. I like the image of the weeping willows, it is as if they are grieving. Excellent 5-7-5 use of words that creates a clear scene.

Hi DonandVicki, this lovely 5-7-5 poem is full of melancholy and sweet sadness. I imagine the weeping willow comforts the woman as she mourns for her love. Thank you for sharing another beautiful poem.
