I thought Harris did very well with her first interview. And since I know *cough* that her team comes to FanStory to gather our sage advice, my suggestion is one:
When Dana Bash asks you what you thought when Trump said, "you turned black" your response might be, "at least I didn't turn orange." Kidding of course, right?

Yes, no doubt she had a variety of potential responses ready. What she said packed a brief hit at Trump and a desire to move on from pointless stuff. Exactly what she should have done.
It's interesting that even the reasonably centrist Politico found her response not to its taste with a headline something like:
Harris Evades Question on Race.
Meanwhile Trump says people aren't eating bacon because of wind energy.
