Forgiveness, to empathize without acquittal
Of those who strayed now seeking redemption
Restoring their faith with an honest reply
Giving support when doubt still divides
Inviting them forward so they may see
Visions of faith and a chance to believe
Errors they've made just a path in their life
Now willing to cross to a road that runs straight
Encouraged to step with us by their side
Sympathy was shown for a path we've not taken
So together we'll join that road to forgiveness

To forgive is to understand-accept without dismissing the wrong that may have been done.
A form of poetry I tried a long time ago and was inspired to try again, by reading on this site.
