He waited, breath held, in the confining area. Chest crushed by the tight space, his legs pretzeled in the darkness, he watched. The thing was so light on its feet, he wouldn't know if it passed unless he could see it.
Suddenly, there it was. It passed by without seeing him. A ragged sigh of relief escaped. He had the drop on it now and he nearly chuckled setting his trap. God, he hated mice.
