Can I talk to you?
Life Lesson Number One by playinaround
Through the eyes of a child writing prompt entry

Hi, I'm Judy. Some people call me Judo-chop. I'm almost 6 years old. Can I talk to you?

Me and Momma went to the Speedy Mart yesterday. I went to see the toys. I saw a bright red bucket with lots of little, tiny monkeys in it. There were yellow ones and green ones and purple ones. I like monkeys. So I went to Momma, (she was in the line) and I asked her if I could have the monkeys. Momma said "not today". I was sad. So I asked momma again and she said "No". I was really sad. I took the monkeys with me to the car. I was sure mommy wouldn't mind, but just in case, I hid them under my jacket.

So I was in mommas room in the dark -- and playing - with the monkeys. They hooked together like a chain!

Momma came in and asked me what I was doing. When she saw the monkeys, she turned red and got mad. She took me back to the Speedy Mart, to give back the monkeys. She made me say I was sorry. So I did.

I don't think I will take stuff anymore because it makes momma mad and it makes me put my head down and makes my face burn and then I cry.

You're nice. You can call me Judo-chop! Maybe you can come to my birthday party, you can bring a present if you want to:)

Bye...
