Whoever made up the catch cry "Drill, baby, drill"
Must have been a bit of a dill
Or they were particularly ill
Because it gives me no thrill
To tell my grandchildren that nature it will kill.
Those who possess arrogance and ignorance
or even show indifference
Must take responsibility for the future generations experience
Which will no doubt, be one of pure resilience
No smiles or laughter just one of pure existence.
If you are one that wants them to play
Fight the fight and ensure you stay
Let them not become a form of prey
Defend against the consuming grey
Because there is nothing quite like the sounds and sights of those at play.

Author Notes
Political catch cries inform no one as to the damage ahead. They mean nothing.
